We’re rolling out a new support system starting 17 August 2026, still at the same address, support.runbox.com. This has been on our list for a while, and we’re following through on our promise earlier this year of separating and strengthening our support infrastructure so that it always stays operational.
The new Support Centre is hosted on servers in Norway controlled by Runbox, and will make it easier to get help, both in English and Norwegian. Here, you can open a ticket with our team for account-specific help, and you can also get instant answers to common questions.

What’s new
Our support website remains the same, support.runbox.com. You’ll see the new Support Centre there after 17 August 2026. The new centre gives you three clear paths, right from the homepage:
- Open a New Ticket — submit a support request and get a unique number to track it.
- Check Ticket Status — follow the status of an existing ticket and see our responses online.
- Ask Boxy — get quick answers to common questions about plans, pricing, email setup, custom domains, spam filtering, migrating to Runbox, sub-accounts and more, without needing to open a ticket.
A new support email address
Alongside the new Support Centre, we’re introducing a new support email address: mail@support.runbox.com. You can keep emailing us at support@runbox.com — it will still work, but our replies will increasingly come from the new address, so it’s worth making a note of the address and adding it to your email app’s allowlist now.
Boxy for instant answers

You will find Boxy, our support assistant, right on the new Support Centre home page. Ask Boxy a question, and it will search our support knowledge base for an instant answer, before you ever need to open a ticket.
We wrote a post a while back explaining exactly what Boxy is and isn’t — no memory between sessions, no access to your account or emails, and no browsing the web. It works only from our own knowledge base, and we log its replies for 10 days on our own servers in Norway, purely to keep an eye on quality. If you haven’t read it, it’s worth a look: AI, LLMs, and Boxy.
Boxy also helps power our popular DNS Compliance Checker, where you can verify MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC and DNSSEC records, and Boxy will explain the results.
What happens to old tickets?
From 17 August 2026, the old support system will be retired. If you’ve submitted support requests in the past, you won’t be able to log in and view those tickets after that date. If you want to save old tickets, you can screenshot or save as pdf.
There will be no interruption to ongoing support enquiries during this time; all open tickets will be answered and resolved.
What about help.runbox.com?
help.runbox.com isn’t going anywhere — it stays live alongside the new Support Centre. But we’re also working on a brand new help centre which will be more comprehensive, better organized and will make it much easier to find the help you’re looking for. More on this later.
Part of our bigger upgrades
The new Support Centre is the next piece in a series of updates we’ve been rolling out this year:
- Our status page got a fresh look this spring, with updates now appearing at the top of each incident post and live, colour-coded service status at a glance. It integrates with Boxy too, so you can ask about service status directly. Read more in What’s New in Runbox 7 – Spring 2026.
- We launched a new signup experience for people joining Runbox for the first time.
- We’ve also refreshed the Runbox website itself — redesigned with streamlined navigation to make your experience easier.
Upgrades to Runbox 7
Runbox 7 continues to get steady improvements under the hood, with more performance, usability, and functionality upgrades on the way — while Runbox 6 webmail stays available for anyone who prefers it, via our consolidated login page.
All versions of Runbox mail are accessible under one Login button on our website, where you can log into Runbox 7 (https://runbox.com/app), Runbox 6 (https://runbox.com/mail) and the Norwegian version (https://runbox.no/mail) via our website.
You can also bookmark each of them in your browser for quicker access.
What to do now
- Add mail@support.runbox.com to your email allowlist so replies from our new support address land in your inbox.
- Check any previous tickets you want to keep a record of — you won’t be able to access them after 17 August 2026.
- The new Support Centre at support.runbox.com will be live from 17 August 2026.
These are exciting times here at Runbox, and we’re making many updates this year. Thank you for being part of our community — there’s more to come, and we’re glad you’re here for it.
— The Runbox Team
